When the session times out with a window open, I get an error message that implies I don't have permission

If I open a window, and leave it open for a while, then I try to drag a file from there onto my desktop, I'm given an error message stating "You lack permissions". In the latest example, the file was world-readable so this made me confused. In fact the message should state "Your session has expired" (I'm assuming this is the true cause?) and tell me how to refresh the session. Or better still, automatically refresh the session.

  • Priority changed from major (affects peripheral workflow) to minor (e.g. uncommon, cosmetic, has workaround)
  • Status changed from new to accepted
  • Component changed from remote folder to authentication
  • Milestone set to 0.30 Better dialogues

Ideally you shouldn't get any message at all. Swish tries to detect when the session is 'dead' and restarts it silently. This bug seems to indicate that the drop target is no doing this death check properly.
