Cant move files into folders

Reported by: shawnrask@gmail.com Owned by: alamaison
Priority: major (affects peripheral workflow) Milestone: 0.90 Beta 1
Component: remote folder Version: 0.6.0

Description

I have verified all the permissions are correct but no matter what i do i can't move a file into a sub-folder. I can open the sub-folder and transfer files from my computer to that folder, but can't transfer from a parent directory on the share.

  • Component changed from authentication to remote folder

Whenever i try a window pops up and says "An error occurred while transferring files: Unspecified error"

  • Status changed from new to accepted
  • Type changed from defect to enhancement
  • Milestone changed from 0.6.1 Bug sprint to 0.90 Beta 1

This feature is yet to be implemented. It seems like a simple feature but will actually require a fair amount of jiggerypokery to get it working.

Ok, thanks for the info. Cant wait to see this feature. Any idea of how far out it is? should i check back in a couple weeks or is this something i shouldn't get my hopes up for?

A couple of weeks would be over-optimistic :P Unless someone contributes a patch. We've got a bug sprint and public-key authentication to do before getting onto this.

For the moment you can do a workaround of copying locally, copying back into subfolder, deleting both intermediate copies. Not very nice if the files are large.

As you were logged in when you opened this ticket, you should be notified of any progress on it when it happens.

I can confirm that although I can connect to my SFTP box It's as though I'm viewing it in read only mode. I am connecting locally and externally through a different port other than 22 as well.

Is this a different bug? If so, please put it in a separate ticket.
