Retain password though session

First I wanted to express my gratitude for this software. This is pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I have an SFTP server setup at home and I can access it fine through WinSCP, but I also wanted less savvy users (like my mom) to access my SFTP mostly for backups purposes. Swish works great!

Now down to the feature I wanted to suggest: Can you fix Swish so that it retains the user's password throughout the session? Every time I go back and forth throughout the directories I have to enter my password. Not with WinSCP. Once this feature is added (fixed?) I will use Swish as my main client!

Great app! Thanks again!

Actually, I just noticed that it does work sometimes, so I guess it's a matter of stability. Sometimes while browsing I get stuck in a directory trying to go back and it keeps prompting for password, but no matter how many times I enter it it just doesn't go anywhere. I have to actually modify the path before it finally gets out of that directory.

Swish should only ask for a password once per session. When you navigate to a directory Swish doesn't close the session and will use it again for your next operation (though if you try another operation in another window at the same time---unlikely---it will create a new session). If you are repeatedly having to enter your password it probably means the connection is being broken. Does your server use a very short inactivity timeout?

I realized that the connection was flaky the first time I used it. But once I reconnected again it was better, and I was able to browse through the directories without prompting me for the password. I guess it was a glitch.

Swish rocks! Keep up the good work!

Thank you!
