Would be great if swish used IE proxy settings ( or even better allowed override per connection ) . This would allow access to my external linux servers from behind the corporate firewall.

This would be nice but, unless someone contributes a patch, it won't be any time soon.

Does the OpenSSH server support connection via a proxy or does it require a special server?

I confirm, it would be great. as is, the soft can't be used from within the network of my company

Same here... the tool would be great in combination with an SSH tunnel (putty) to bypass corporate firewalls. So I need support for proxy settings (SOCKS5).
